Far from a Newby, when it comes to the bars.

Despite his name, Toronto-born artist, Newby is far from a newbie when it comes to music. With a skillful combination of youthful energy, playful rhymes and a signature visual aesthetic, Newby proves himself as a well-seasoned artist worthy of recognition. His modern take on Pop-Rap brings a well-needed refreshment to the local Hip-Hop scene and positions Newby to be an exciting, new favourite among music listeners worldwide.

Newby’s love for music began at an early age and led him to successfully pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD) University in Toronto. Newby strongly believes in cultural openness and embracing one’s true self - a message reflected in his authentic, β€œkid-at-heart” approach to his music. Newby expertly borrows from the distinctive sound of the 80’s, 90’s and 2000’s to create his unique musical style marked by nostalgia, innuendo and youthful zest.
